Steven J. Eagle is Professor of Law at George Mason University School of Law, where he teaches property, land use, and constitutional law. The fifth edition of his comprehensive treatise on property rights and regulation, Regulatory Takings, will be published early in 2013 by Lexis Publishing. Professor Eagle also is the author of numerous other scholarly and popular works on the nature of property rights and land use regulation and lectures extensively on these topics.
Professor Eagle studied economics at the City College of New York and is a graduate of the Yale Law School. He has taught at Vanderbilt, George Washington, and the University of Toledo law schools. He is an elected member of the American Law Institute and a Fellow of the American College of Real Estate Lawyers. He is also a member of the Executive Committee of the Property and Environment Practice Group of the Federalist Society.
